The University was founded in 1975. Today Irkutsk State Transport University consists of 6 branches, which are located in four Russian regions and one in Ulan Bator (Mongolia). Irkutsk State Transport University trains students of all education levels from the general secondary, secondary professional and higher education to postgraduate study and doctoral studies.
